Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate from a liberal arts college which has allowed me the opportunity to be immersed in a variety of subjects. I graduated with a BA in Honors Mathematics and a BA in Physics and am going to continue my education to pursue a PhD in Computational and Systems Biology. These experiences have allowed me to gain expertise in the areas of math and the sciences. Besides that I have been involved in several research projects and have had my work published. Thus, my experiences have allowed me to gain strength in both technical writings and writings in other subject areas. I also served as a tutor for math and many of the sciences, as well as, held a position as a teaching assistant for a quantitative reasoning class.
Teaching Style
I am a very dedicated and determined person and I expect those that I work with to be willing and determined to put forth effort. Besides that my teaching style depends on the styles of those I am working with since different people have different learning styles and it is necessary for me to adjust my style in order to help each and everyone succeed. I believe that everyone has an immense learning capacity if we, as teachers, can help them tap into that. I also believe in showing how the subjects taught can be useful in life and not just for a class that one has to take, as well as, showing the connections between that class and the other subject areas.
