Experience Summary
I am a dedicated worker who loves helping students learn and grow. During the 2009-2010 school year, I worked as a long term substitute teacher in a reading class. In this class, I taught students with low level reading skills the basic skills needed to become advanced readers. Responsibilities included making individual lesson plans for twelve students, quizzing students on current spelling words and testing students at the end of the week on these words. Currentl, I work with a post graduate Autistic student. My responsibilities include helping the student learn basic work skills needed in the job force, teaching appropriate behavior at job sites and helping develop social skills needed to succeed at specific jobs.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with students of all ages and I am looking forward to a life long career as an educator. With two years experience, I believe I am building a strong foundation to help students succeed in education. I am a dedicated worker who is independent, helpful and patient with children of all ages and learning styles. My experience in Special Education has taught me that all students learn differently and at their own pace and this has made me a more patient and caring educator.
