Experience Summary
As a graduate of the Universite d'Etat d'Haiti with a bachelor in agronomy, I usually worked as an Extension agent. This is informal education that is very different from the education dispensed in the classroom. You inform peasants how to select seeds, the distance to plant them, the management of water, control of pests, utilization of fertilizers, pesticides, and others, gestion of the products and the market. The motto of Extension is: Help people to help themselves.
Besides of that, I taught functional alphabetisation that helps people to read and write in some very practical way.
Teaching Style
I taught adult and young people the first elements of reading and writing. My approach is creative and individualist because people have to learn their way, the easy one for them, whatever it is science, math, or social science. I have tutored students in French, Latin,and mathematics.
