Experience Summary
As a Georgia Tech graduate, I always have upheld my educational standard. I have earned a Bachelor degree in Management and two Certification in Accounting and Finance. Since 2005, I started to tutor accounting and finance at the Georgia Tech Athletics department. I have always enjoyed to tutor these subjects since then. I have had over 400 students by now. Besides tutoring students at GA Tech, I also have had students from GA States, Emory, Mercer, UGA, and couple other colleges. My goal was to help students overcoming the business language barrier. Also, from 2002 to 2003, I also tutored elementary students mainly in math subject.
Teaching Style
My style is generally flexible and depends on each student's learning style. I usually spent time to observe their learning and adjusted my tutoring method to help them further. Some students needed help with concepts and others might need help with problems. Either way, I have to always be patient to explain the concepts or problems to them until they understand. Also, I like to write down concepts and problems while I go over with them. Often I find out most of the students are visualized learner and they won't be able to retain as much information if I don't write anything down and show them. My goal is not to make them understand the subject but also give them suggestions of how to learn the subjects better.
