Experience Summary
I know my subject - math. I have completed the subject matter requirement-math and all the educational courses required by the single subject credential program in California State University, Los Angeles. For the past ten years, I have helped students their math homework and prepared their tests. My extensive experience in teaching and tutoring math includes all levels from arithmetic to calculus.
Teaching Style
My philosophy of education is that to be a good teacher, the teacher must be flexible and persistent. A good teacher must have a "feel" for doing the right thing at the right time. It means knowing when to present a lesson and when to let students discover things for themselves. Also, when a lesson falls flat, a good teacher thinks of another presentation that recaptures the students' interest. In Addition, teachers must sometimes cope with interruptions and other difficulties. It is important to get students excited about learning, and there is no such a thing as an unteachable student. To be a good teacher, we need flexibility, knowledge, love and patience. Someone said you must throw your heart into it.
