Experience Summary
I am a highly dedicated individual with an Architectural and Engineering Background. I have an Associate of Science in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. I have high levels of training in Math and Science. I have always worked with the public including both adults and children. I have a 10-year-old son with ADD. I have been tutoring him from kindergarden to present. He is now in fifth grade and maintains A's and B's. Even though he attends public school, He and I have to work many hours daily to keep him at his full potential. In the past, I have tutored students in all levels of math including high school and college math.
Teaching Style
I believe that all children require a different method of teaching. My goal is to find the key to help them become motivated in learning. Sometimes children predetermine that they are not good at an individual subject. If you can find a way to make this subject interesting to them you have solved half the problem. I try to discover why the child is having problems in a certain area and solve this first. All children can learn and grow in their education with the right motivation. It is so rewarding to see the children obtain their goals.
