Experience Summary
It wasn’t until my boys started school and I spent time in their classrooms that I realized I had a passion and an aptitude for working with young students. I was hired by the Boulder Valley School District in 2007 as a para and soon after was working one on one with special needs students in kindergarten. This realization prompted me to re-enter the college scene as a graduate student, which I finished this December.
Teaching Style
I do best working one on one with students or in very small groups. I like to get to know my students. This helps me determine how they learn and how I can make their experience as useful as possible. Also, its more fun to do work with someone that you respect and understand.
