Experience Summary
I have extensive international educational and business experience as a ESL teacher in Italy for 3 years. I completed a double major in Italian and Secondary Education as well as a double minor in Spanish and Anthropology at the University of Rhode Island. I currently use Italian, English and Spanish on a daily basis for work and in social settings. Education and working with individuals is my passion. Attention to detail and follow-through is important to me. As a business professional of 10 years, I have a universal sense of high standards and value the importance of integrity and ethical practices.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with children and adults and have experience working with both groups. I believe in "meeting an individual where they are" and developing learning programs based on the unique needs and learning styles of each individual. Furthermore, I believe that individuals need the support of another to bring out the best of what already exists within. Words that come to mind in my teaching practice are: Empathy, compassion, rigor, focus, clarity, results, humanity, potential and confidence. The end goal is to have each student efficiently and effectively develop a level of mastery in the desired subject that will be measurable and create a feeling of accomplishment.
