Experience Summary
I have longed to be the best teacher in the world. I wanted to produce as many educated citizens as possible. I have received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education and Computer Literacy because I had the desire to help shape the best leaders and business owners in Northwest Louisiana. I pursued and earned my certification in Mild Moderate Soecial Educatiion because I believe ALL students can learn. Since so many students are being raised by thier granparents, I co-wrote and received an "Adopt-the-Granparent grant, increasing parental involvement significantly. After goabtain my Supervision Certification so I can show other teachers what worked for me.
Teaching Style
One-on-one education is the best way I reach my students. I like diagnose them and take aptitude tests so I will know what type of learner as well as person I am working with. I take their weaknesses and I make them their strengths using such method as SQ3R, ANTICIPATORY SETS, FOUR-SQUARE-WRITING, CRITICAL THINKING,AND POSITIVE FEEDBACK. Since students learn differently at a variety of levels, I haqve several activities ande strqategies to use with all types of learners levels. As a vetern educator, I know that hard work, endurance, and determination are the keys to reaching any goal. My best reward of teaching students how to read is when they go on vacations, come back and tell how exciting it was reading the billboards!
