Experience Summary
I hold a BS in Organizational Communication and an MS in Organizational Leadership and Quality. I started my college education because of my strong interest in writing. I spent my childhood and early adult years focusing on creative writing projects, including such genres and poetry, short stories and plays. I loved to read and write.
Through over 10 years occupational experience working in catalog production, marketing, advertising, newspaper media, and quality resource management, I’ve done such things as draft technical software manuals, marketing materials, and instructed graphic artists, desktop publishers, and editors.
Teaching Style
I have a passion for sharing knowledge with others, and I have an understanding that everyone learns differently. We are all unique. I am a very patient and tentative teacher and I am willing to try new approaches in order to reach each individual.
I have learned in my professional life how to change my communication style to match the person I am working with. This is the kind of instructor I am and the kind of manager I have been. I get a lot of satisfaction when I am able to help someone achieve their goals. That is my goal.
I am open minded and I listen. I think this is very important when helping students understand new concepts. I believe that there should be a lot of discussion and experimentation in learning as well as fun.
