Experience Summary
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I attended and graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. I moved to Germany in 1995, spending time learning German and teaching part-time at the International School of Hamburg. In 1998, I started a one-year, full-time contract, teaching a pre-kindergarten class. After that, I returned to New Jersey, where I worked for 3 years before being offered a permanent position at the International School again in 2002, which I accepted. After holding this position for 8 years, I have now returned home to New Jersey permanently.
I have experience working from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade, in both private and public schools, both in New Jersey and abroad.
Teaching Style
I like to take a student-centered, holistic approach to education, creating a learning environment where children feel safe to take risks, are respected for their individuality and level of development, and where their inherent potential is recognized and encouraged.
