Experience Summary
As a personal tutor, I will rely on my significant amount of experience and understanding of biology gained from my education and participation in many research projects in biology, ecology, and wildlife conservation science. For the past ten years I have conducted various research projects including genetics, microbiology, virology, physiology, biology and ecology. I also have broad experience in introductory and upper-level courses, including Introduction to Biology laboratory, Human Physiology laboratory, Human Heredity, General Ecology class and laboratory, Animal Biology, and Wildlife Management Techniques. Therefore, I can design learning projects that promote self-confidence, creativity, and critical thinking in students.
Teaching Style
To ensure that a range of learning styles is appropriately addressed, I have experience in individual meetings, group designed activities, mentoring activities, one-on-one tutoring and traditional lecture settings. As a teaching assistant of an upper-level non-majors genetics course, I was available to tutor students who worked either independently or collaborated in small groups during class time. As a tutor, These past experiences help me to provide a meaningful educational experience to your child. Moreover, what I most enjoy about teaching is interaction. Educators provide powerful role models, and I would take this role very seriously. Students may lack basic skills such as the study and time management skills necessary for success.
