Experience Summary
I have always valued a good education so I earned dual bachelor degrees in English and Psychology from H.B.U. while working and raising two girls. After graduation I worked in college admissions for several years before deciding that I wanted to educate students instead of recruiting them. During the last year, I worked with elementary, middle, and high school students in the areas of tutoring and substitute teaching, which helped me gain a deeper understanding of what motivates students to learn. I have experience teaching and tutoring English, Reading, Mathematics, Psychology, and Science.
Teaching Style
I love working with and teaching children of all ages. I am an active educator engaged in tapping into a student's unique learning style so I can provide the best education possible. I believe all students have the potential to learn with the appropriate tools and teaching style. I believe learning occurs best through discovery and step by step approaches, which promotes a child's understanding of a specific subject.
