Experience Summary
As A recent graduate from a Liberal Arts School, I found it easy to connect with teaching as my calling. I have always driven for high levels of excellence in and outside the classroom and work force. Having an English and Philosphy background, I find it easy to critically think and annotate extensively works of literature. And from that I find that my skills are up to par due to writing research papers and annotating other people's work. My experiance as a student teacher at a private school in rural VT, allowed me to expand the pupils' minds to outside their comfort zone in order to learn about the world we live and the connection it has to literature.
Teaching Style
Teaching is not for everyone, but I knew it was for me when I started student teaching and felt the adrenaline rush of 25 eyes staring up at me for guidance. I feel the need to spread as much knowledge as possible to the up and coming generations.I always feel rewarded when the day ends because I was able to help students get a better grasp on life. I also believe that the student is the teacher as well. Through my experiance, a student can teach an instructor just as much as the instructor can teach them. I am very laid back yet can still hold the fine line of being direct and rigorous at the same time. I am excited to teach anyone and everyone. It is with out question that my education will still continue as I apply to graduate school.
