Experience Summary
Having thoroughly studied various subjects like English Language & Literature, Psychology and Media Studies at the university, I’m very keen on applying my theoretical skills in a teaching position that contributes to my professional growth and development. Working with Charlton College in rural Australia and both my school placements in Melbourne gave me enough opportunities to learn invaluable skills from my supervising teachers like effectively managing classrooms, providing pastoral care to students, maintaining student records and assessment data, giving constructive feedback to students and most importantly, incorporating a range of teaching strategies in my lesson plans to cater to the different learning styles of students.
Teaching Style
I believe teaching is not just about imparting the content knowledge, but also about inspiring values and principles like honesty, integrity, reliability and mutual respect amongst students to help them evolve as good and responsible human beings. My professional philosophy is that each student sitting in front of me is a unique individual with their own abilities and goals in life and need to be respected and cared for what they are.
