Experience Summary
As a teacher of the deaf, my students unique needs are always at the forefront of my teaching. I look at each student as an individual and want to develop their strengths as well as work on their weaknesses. I work primarily on Reading, Language and Vocabulary development, as well as conceptual development in relation to Math and Science.
1984-1985 - Teacher of the Deaf in Lewisiton, ID - K-12
1985-1990 - Sped Resource Room teacher/Deaf-ed teacher grades 7-8
1990-1998 - General Elementary Techer grades 1 & 2
1998-present - Deaf-education teacher grades K-5
Teaching Style
I love teaching and love my job. I believe that each child has the will to succeed and it is my job to help him or her to do so. I look at his or her strengths and use those to develop the areas that the child needs the most instruction in. I am positive and patient with my students. I believe that education is my calling and that it is my purpose in life to do the best that I am able to in order to help all students achieve their desired goals.
