Experience Summary
Having begun my first year of teaching in the fall of 2010, I realize that my heart is truly in education. In May of 2010 I received my bachelor degree, BS in Early Childhood Education. During my educational preparation at Franciscan University of Steubenville, I worked in the surrounding schools for over 200 hours. I was fortunate to observe and teach in diverse and special education classes. In addition, I also successfully student taught in a Title I reading classroom. Currently I am teaching preschool at an independent private school in Park City, Utah.
Teaching Style
The most effective way to instruct students is through experience. Unless a student can take hold of a subject for himself and make it his own, he will never master the information. My past tutoring experience has prepared me well to show students that they can succeed in any subject. Students first have to be told that they can achieve anything as long as they accomplish their very best. I believe that one of the best ways to introduce a subject is through a hands on approach. Teachers have to be the bridge to a child's educational success.
