Experience Summary
Since January 2006 I have been teaching in the Dade County Public School System, having recently been promoted to Social Studies Department Head. I have taught AP American Government, AP European HIstory, AP US History, Ap World History, IB History, Law Studies, Contemporary History and Speech and Debate. I became a teacher after 15 years in the private practice of law.
Teaching Style
I use the Socratic method. I challenge my students to respond to critical, higher level thinking questions. It is through this method that I secure positive results for the student. All students are capable of meeting their individual potential --- the key for the educator is understanding that one student's potential is not necessarily the same as another student's potential.
