Experience Summary
I am a homeschooling mom of 20 years. I have homeschooled my 6 kids K through 12th grade. Three of my children have graduated my homeschool. Two of those have completed college and one is in her sophomore year. I am still teaching 3 of my kids. Over the years, I have taught every grade and every subject. Most years I have been doing both phonics and physics. Over the past year I have been tutoring kids in math and language arts.
Teaching Style
I firmly believe that it is the responsibility of the teacher to find a way to present material so it is understood by the student. Too many schools criticize a child's ability to learn when the child doesn't respond to the school's one method of teaching. I enjoy finding ways to make concepts simple and fun for the child. I love to awaken in my students a fascination for subjects that they believe to be uninteresting or too hard for them.
