Experience Summary
As a professor at Baku State University, I offered courses in foreign languages, linguistics, research methodologies, and pedagogical methods in language teaching. I developed and designed the Urdu curriculum at Baku State University myself, and the undergraduates and graduate students I trained went on to become diplomats, translators, medical interpreters, and language teachers. I also provided intensive private tutoring to government officials and academics who needed to learn the Russian and Azeri languages: my clients included the Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Teaching Style
I love to teach foreign languages, and I find nothing more rewarding than guiding students on their way to full proficiency. I hope to secure a position where I can continue to devote my energies to teaching and mentoring students as they develop their language skills and to developing curriculum materials that facilitate effective language learning.
