Experience Summary
Teacher for over 10 years at Fairmont Preparatory Academy, a prestigious private high school in North Orange County. Transitioned from a nearly 18-year engineering career, enabling me to bring a great deal of practical knowledge and real-world applications to my students. Experience includes computers, mathematics and physics. Math experience includes Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus (IB & standard), AP Calculus (AB & BC), and Statistics (AP & standard). Created the Statistics program at Fairmont from the ground up, culminating in my selection as an AP Statistics Reader in both May of 2009 and 2010. Have also done resume critiques & taught resume writing workshops for an organization called Experience Unlimited.
Teaching Style
I believe in the individualized instruction of students, especially those that are struggling, because each student has their own way of learning. I like to get to know my students a bit, because sometimes the best way to get through to that student is to find a way to relate the subject material to their personal interests. I will work to help your student to perform as successfully as they are able, and to help them live up to their full potential. I have a great deal of experience working with students from many different ethnicities and cultures, and recognize no boundaries or limits with regard to such issues.
