Experience Summary
Since I was first a high school graduate, I have been fascinated with education and helping young people. Whether it was volunteering as a coach, working as a resident's assistant, giving tours on campus, working at summer camps, or working with students with disabilities I have supplemented my collegiate career with teaching experience. This was most evident by the 19-month teaching/tutoring mission which I went on for my church. I love teaching and I intend to do so for my entire life!
Teaching Style
My core teaching ideals come from the motto, "a child needs love most when he least deserves it". In our society, too many people look for reasons to help others. For me, working with children is my duty to them. It is my duty to understand that each child is different and therefore needs differentiated instruction. As I strive to focus on positive reenforcement with my students, I give them opportunities to set goals and succeed. It is those moments of success that the student's will cling to, not the small facts that I teach that will truly make a difference in each of their lives.
