Experience Summary
As a recent UC Berkeley graduate who double majored in both Statistics and Applied Mathematics, I have a strong background in both these subjects. In addition, I have had quite a bit of teaching experience during my college years. For 2 semesters I served as an undergraduate student instructor for a statistics course at UC Berkeley. For another 2 semesters I taught a student-run course aimed at preparing students for the first actuarial exam which requires knowledge of both statistical and mathematical concepts. I was also an instructor for an afterschool science program for one year.
Teaching Style
My years of experience teaching my younger brother who has mild ADHD has shown me that every student has their own unique way of learning. Hence, I will strive to find the best method that suites your child. Having the experience of tutoring at UC Berkeley, I'm trained to be able to break down challenging concepts into ones more understandable to the general audience. I am an extremely approachable and friendly person who aims to make mathematics more fun and understandable for younger students.
