Experience Summary
I am a patient and effective tutor and mentor. I have a bachelors degree (with honors) from Westmont College, a top liberal arts college in California. In addition, I have 4+ years experience working with youth in educational capacities. I tailor my approach with students based on their academic strengths, personal interests, and future goals. My greatest satisfaction is working with a student to help them succeed and go beyond their goals. I take the responsibility of tutoring very seriously and hold my students accountable to meeting their goals.
Teaching Style
I have worked with youth my entire career and gain a sense of satisfaction from challenging and encouraging them to reach their goals. There is nothing more gratifying to me than working side by side with a student and seeing them succeed at something they did not think they could do. I am patient with my students and create an atmosphere that is fun and conducive to learning. I also hold my students accountable for their progress and lessons and believe that growth does not happen without responsibility. As Plato said, "The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future in life!"
