Experience Summary
As a communications supervisor for a public safety agency, I have very diverse work experience. I also act as a communications training officer and training administrator. Over the past several years (10+), I have trained one on one, numerous employees. In addition, I have conducted small group training sessions for five to twenty subordinates.
I have many certifications related to my current position. I have an Associates degree as well as a Bachelor's degree. I am an avid reader and have excellent oral and written communications skills. I am patient and flexible and remain calm in all situations.
Teaching Style
I have a passion for "trainng" in my current profession and I have realized that there are many different styles of teaching. Just as there are different teaching styles, there are a multitude of different learning styles. I find it necessary to speak openly and honestly with my trainee's so that I can evaluate the best possible training/teaching approach. I believe that the best teachers are those who recognize the needs of their students and are able to adapt and be flexible so that the student receives the best instruction possible.
