Experience Summary
I have received my Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Honors Thesis Research at Purdue University. I have recently applied to medical school and taken the MCAT. I have experience in college level physics, chemistry, organic chemistry, and extensive experience in college level biology. I have taught/tutored students at the high school level and I have been a teacher's assistant for a sophomore level biology lab/class. I am very comfortable with teaching students, and I feel that most students find me to be very thorough and clear with the material.
Teaching Style
My first priority is talking with the student and figuring out what difficulties they are having with the subject. After identifying some problem areas, I help the student understand the material and teach them effective ways for studying the material. I am very respectful to each student's level of knowledge of the subject at hand, and I know that some topics can be very complicated and frustrating at times. As a tutor, I will make it my duty to improve the student's understanding of the problem subjects and help instill effective study methods to learn the material.
