Experience Summary
As part of a voluntary program to help educate my local community in Grand Cayman, I taught High School level Accounting and Principles of Business for 4 years between 2006 and 2010.
This involved both the teaching of the subjects from first principles, and exam preparation for students.
My Work as an accountant contributed to this as well as the experience I gained working for companies large and small on 2 continents.
Teaching Style
My style of teaching, whether it is children in church classes, those studying for high school, or executives in training, relies very much on meticulous preparation and personalization to those learning.
I'm extremely patient, can very quickly put people at ease. This makes for more effective learning.
My style of teaching, rather than overtly teaching students new things, builds on what they already know, and applying it to different situations. Learning is by stealth, to those who normally struggle in the classroom, and still challenging to those who may be stronger on a given subject.
My goal is to make students prove to themselves that they have what it takes to succeed.
