Experience Summary
As a graduate of Illinois State University with a secondary teaching degree in 1969 and teaching one year, I was drafted and spent 18 months in the US Army as a legal clerk. After being honorably discharged I settled in Phoenix, Az and have been a self-employed entrepreneur to date. I am now retired, and looking for a fulfilling position to help others achieve their goals in life. I have a background in education and business and can relate to real life situations, as I have been married for 44 years, have 2 boys, and 2 grandchildren. I coached and participated in our children's educational needs. As an employer I have trained and helped my employees learn and use their skills to better their lives and careers.
Teaching Style
I very much enjoy teaching and helping students with positive activities. Success is very imperative, and fun and interesting methods encourage the student's performance. Encouragement is very important to help the student attain a positive attitude about their abilities. Tieing in current event helps the student relate to the real world as it applies to them, and the value of being informed. The students must know that you care about them as a person, and are willing to help them attain their goals.
