Experience Summary
As a Colorado State University Undergraduate I earned a Bachelors Degree In Journalism and Technical Communications with a Minor in Communications. I have excelled in many areas of writing such as grammar, punctuation and spelling. With a Minor in Communications I learned many ways to communicate with people and how the human mind works. Being a Journalism Major, I have successfully completed many papers and essays about an array of topics, as well as presented many subjects to my classes. For the past year I helped tutor English and Writing helping those understand the tools to writing a paper. I have also helped younger kids with reading and mathematics.
Teaching Style
I remember growing up knowing that I learned differently than others as I was a very visual learner. I understand that all children have their own way of learning and getting one-on-one help from someone who can teach in that way will really help to excel their knowledge in that subject. My philosophy is to make learning fun so the child is excited to meet with me, providing learning games, puzzles and prizes which has been very successful for me in the past. I love teaching children and think they could all meet their potential, but may just need that one person to give them confidence to do so. I look forward to meeting and teaching new children as they are our future.
