Experience Summary
I have a range of experiences which help make me a superior candidate to tutor. I have lived and studied in Barcelona, Spain. During this experience I learned a lot about Spanish culture and brought my Spanish to a mastery level. I lived with a host family which gave me the opportunity to become more involve with Spanish culture and their traditions. Upon returning from Spain, I finished my degree at SUNY Oswego with two semesters of student teaching.
Teaching Style
I have a very unique teaching style in that I like to incorporate many different presentation methods and I am a firm believer of teaching to multiple intelligences. No two students learn the same way and if the student is not learning the teacher is just as responsible as the student. This being said I have used many different teaching methods from having the students performing, and singing to setting up shops to buy and sell products. If one method did not reach some of the students, I would go out of my way to create a lesson that involved these particular students. Multiple intelligences are ever so important because every student learns in a different.
