Experience Summary
Although I listed only 2 years of prior instruction, I have taught over 5 years of business/finance related material. On a school level basis, I personally have a child with ADHD that I tutor at home. I am especially proficient in English/Language Arts. My research and writing skills are exceptionally keen due to the number of research papers and job related inquiries I perform. My current job involves auditing of financial records, therefore I am exceptionally precise and would not object to tutoring in elementary math. I have tutored family members in English, science, mathematics, and history.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very flexible. Because I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults, the ability to adapt to the learner's ability level is especially important. Not all people learn at the exact pact, therefore, flexibility is essential as well as non traditional teaching methods. Some non traditional teaching methods I have applied include interpreting math problems through real life situations. I find that some kids will relate to NBA references while others prefer food examples. Either way, it keeps the child interested which is the key role of a good tutor.
