Experience Summary
A high school math, English, web-design, and business educator since 2002, Jeff has been selected by Frisco ISD to tutor high school students who are homebound due to illness or injury. He enjoys this one-on-one approach to education and shares his love of learning and achievement with all of his students and tutoring clients. Previously, Jeff was a corporate trainer and program facilitator as well as an adventure travel instructor specializing in rock climbing, inline skating, and camping. Jeff declined an invitation to enroll at Johns Hopkins University in 7th grade, and is glad he did. Otherwise, he'd be a bigger nerd than he already is!
Teaching Style
Learning is more accessible, more meaningful, and more memorable when it happens in a fun, but results-driven environment. I believe that the content has to be relevant to the student to be meaningful, and I use my diverse work experience to demonstrate how and why new learning is important and to answer the ever-present question of "When will I ever use this stuff?"
