Experience Summary
As a graduate of The University of Georgia, I pursued a career as a social worker, primarily working with children and adolescents to teach behavioral modification techniques and study skills. I earned a Bachelor of Social Work, with a minor in sociology. Over the years, I have developed a zeal for reading and writing, and I have superior grammatical skills. I have successfully worked with elementary, middle and high school students to help improve their reading skills. I am also proficient in the areas of mathematics and arithmetic.
Teaching Style
I love working with all children and I believe each child has the potential to excel. I acknowledge that a child may have his or her own way of learning and sometimes additional one-on-one attention is required in order for the student to grasp the concept that is being taught. I am a very patient individual and able to connect with all children. In addition to helping your child learn, I am willing to offer suggestions on slight modifications for parents to make in the home, which may assist with improving your child’s learning environment. I strive to create drastic improvements through my interaction with the parents and students.
