Experience Summary
I have been a paraprofessional with the Woodbridge School District for the last 10 years. In my years with the district I have completed numerous trainings in several reading programs, Readind Assist, Wilson, and Soar to Success are a few. I have worked with regular ed and special ed children in grades from 2 thru 8. I am currently working in a self-contained special ed classroom grades 5-8. I work with the students using text to talk books and readers theater.
Teaching Style
I am patient but firm with students.I believe when given an appropriate environment and encouragement they all have the potential to learn. Using humor and making personal connections with students helps them feel comfortable, and in doing so, creates an agreeable learning environment.
