Teaching Style
I emphasize student learning rather than teaching. I believe that teaching requires much more than presentation or coverage of material. It requires learning that is measurable. I recognize that teaching has not occured until learning has occured, and I act accordingly.I try to engage my students in ways that will help them explore the content and develop a deep understanding of it. I develop my plans with an emphasis on student performance and production in a real-world context.I give my students plenty of opportunities for guided and independent practice with new concept and skills.
