Experience Summary
Since graduating from Queens College with my degree in Mathematics and Elementary and Early Childhood Education I have had the opportunity to work in many different areas of education and taking on many different roles. I have tutored students from grades kindergarten through 12th grade and adults in Special Education, Elementary Education, Mathematic, English, and Spanish I&II. I have gone on complete my Masters Degree at Dowling College in Special Education as well as completing an ESL certificate program in Costa Rica. I have worked as a one on one aide, Teacher's Assistant and Teacher in general education, inclusion and self contained classrooms
Teaching Style
I chose the field of education because I believe that every child deserves to be educated in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where they can strive to meet their maximum potential. Every student is capable of learning and succeeding with the right differentiated instruction that meets their individual needs. I believe in a hands on approach to teaching where students are encouraged to discuss their learning process in a classroom that is filled with rich discussions and free of ridicule. Each student that I have worked with has left with greater confidence and a life long love of learning.
