As the child of college educated parents who themselves were educators, I was drawn to education early in my life. I love to read and to help others to read. I have a Masters Degree in Reading Instruction. I also like to write. I have had two National Institute of Health fellowships in the past three years at the Medical University of South Carolina and Washington State University. I have also published research articles in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, Journal of Natural Products and Tetrahedron letters and two more in the publication process. I do have a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Iowa in 2005 and a First Class BSc degree in chemistry from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
