Later, after college, I volunteered to teach Spanish at a "homeschool" in Oregon for 3 months, then spent 6 months teaching Spanish then guitar at Lane Community College. As a teacher with dyslexia I felt that I was unable to teach reading to my students. I went in search of more training and found Alphabetic Phonics a Orton Gillingham program. I have sense used what I learn in the almost 160 hours of training with 11 students and seen progress in all of them. I love working with children and helping fulfill their potential.
