I spent a year living in Mexico and six months in Spain and now speak Spanish fluently. I have been researching the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets because I plan on using them as a base for the children that I work with at Community Action Duluth through the Circles of Support program. I am currently enrolled in my last semester as an Accounting student at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Accounting will be the second degree that I have earned. I have a History BSE degree with a certification in Social Science from Minot State University. I think that the combination of these degrees me a very unique prospective in History, Accounting and especially Economics. My approach to teaching involves finding the best learning venue for each individual student. I don't believe in 'fitting' the student to the method, rather finding the method that works for each individual. I use phonetics when that is the simplest method, the challenge of games/competition when that is what clicks for my student.
