Experience Summary
I am a certified high school teacher with over six years of experience teaching and tutoring in the states as well as abroad. I started college full time at the age of 16 and graduated with an associate and two bachelor degrees before my 20th birthday. I am currently completing a master degree and have maintained a 4.0 grade point average through all 6 years of college. I spent a year living in Mexico and six months in Spain and now speak Spanish fluently. My education and experience has been primarily in the areas of English/ literature/ ESL/ grammar/ composition/ reading/ spelling and phonics, but I also have experience tutoring and teaching learners in the maths and sciences.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and discovering how to best meet the needs of individual learners who come to the classroom with unique backgrounds, aptitudes, interests, motivations, and personalities. My goal as an educator is to inspire each student to achieve their full potential and to develop a lifelong love of learning. Students describe me as patient, encouraging, and creative in teaching methods. I myself am a lifelong learner and enjoy growing and discovering along with my students.
