A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style will always be based on the students learning style.
I have been tutoring grades K-9 for quite a few years. I've also taught a preschool class while in high school. I am currently majoring in Early Childhood Education and Special education at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Hands on, Practice based, through step by step instruction. Visual learning whenever applicable. Geometry, algebra, physics, and some calculus are in my range of teaching. Through my teaching experiences I have developed a "never say die" teaching style. I am willing to try as many methods as it takes in order to help the student achieve academic success. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always enjoyed working with children, especially those of the second, third, or fourth grade level. I am patient, helpful, and considerate. I believe that there are different ways to learn and attack problems, and that all children can succeed if only encouraged to do so. I also believe that practice and learning by doing are essential in learning. I always try to make a difference in students' lives.
Education has always been extremely important to me. I have recently retired, having taught third grade for over thirty years. I worked in the public school system during this time, tutoring Math. I have tutored and aided my nieces from elementary school to the present. I still help them with papers and studying for tests. Additionally, I am presently taking a course dealing with the writing of children,s books.
