A Little Bit About Me...

Hands on, Practice based, through step by step instruction. Visual learning whenever applicable. Geometry, algebra, physics, and some calculus are in my range of teaching. I am very patient as long as the student is trying to learn and cares about the work. Mental support of students is half the battle.
I am comfortable tutoring lower level math classes, mechanical design, or other engineering classes. Writing classes such as English, literature, or fine arts are fine as well. I have a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering from MIZZOU. I am very proficient in technical editing, critiquing papers and writing technical papers.

My job mainly deals with helping students achieve success by developing learning skills that fit the individual needs of specific students and adapting regular classroom instruction to fit those needs.
Most lessons can be taught in various styles but teachers are often faced with a curriculum guideline that they must follow. Often they do not have time to reteach the lesson and students begin to fall behind. A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with children of all ages and abilities and helping them with academics. I don't believe I have a specific teaching style. Education has always been extremely important to me. I have recently retired, having taught third grade for over thirty years. I worked in the public school system during this time, tutoring Math. I have tutored and aided my nieces from elementary school to the present. I still help them with papers and studying for tests. Additionally, I am presently taking a course dealing with the writing of children,s books.
