I am currently completing my final year at Vanderbilt Law School. Over the past three years, I have taught a class and provided one-on-one tutoring for students preparing to take the LSAT. I also taught an upper level course while in grad school (it was in radio production). While I was in undergrad, I spent time tutoring elementary and middle school aged children over the internet. All together, I have helped dozens of individual students in a private setting and nearly a hundred students in the classroom. Personally, I love numbers and have always been very comfortable with math. ACT is one of my top subjects! I work with many high school juniors - including athletes - that often score a composite of 30 or above the very first time they take the ACT after completing ACT prep with me. I prepare students for all four sections of the new, STEM-focused ACT. Several of my students have earned full ride scholarships to their chosen college based on their ACT scores. I have been designing and teaching ACT prep courses since 1997. I tutor in person and online using the Wyzant platform.

When teaching English Composition, I enjoy holding conferences with my students because they allow me to give individualized recommendations and lessons. Writing is different for everyone, encompassing struggles that are very personal and specific to each student. Talking one-on-one with students is the best way I have found to affirm the individual nature of the task of writing.
