Everyone's teaching style is an accumulation of the teachers they have met. My favorite teachers were tough, they pushed me to do my best, and encouraged me to draft, edit, and to have high expectations for myself. Their goals were realistic, and relevant. As teacher, I want to give each student an advantage, over other students. Over the years (as undergrad and graduate), I have tutored middle school and elementary age students in various subjects. I have also been a resource for undergrad and graduate health science students while serving as a graduate assistant (public health master's program). I proctored exams and held tutoring and review sessions prior to testing. I have two master's degrees, three undergraduate degrees, and experience as a paramedic, nurse, and substitute teacher.
I believe in completing an individual needs assessment and designing a study approach around that assessment. I believe in constant reinforcement and reassessment. A Little Bit About Me...

As I was taking college courses, I also taught swimming lessons, after earning the ARC Lifeguard and WSI certificates. I also tutored grade school children during college in basic subjects. In college I also tutored other college students in basic English, as my major was communication and I have a fairly strong command of English. I also have experience in the newspaper industry and thoroughly enjoy helping people. I completed my BA in 2002.
