I graduated from the University of Maine "with distinction" and as a memeber of the Kappa Delta Pi National Honor Society. My teaching experience began with the Upward Bound Program where I taught Language Arts and provided in-home tutoring in a diversity of subjects. I then worked for the Penobscot Job Corps Program, a program designed to provide vocational training to “culturally and economically disadvantaged youth." I graduated from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) in 1984 with a degree in mathematics. Since then, I have held a number of teaching positions in private secondary schools and colleges. As a current graduate student I have had the opportunity to learn a great deal about the effective techniques and skills it takes for one to succeed within the classroom. I have so far earned my BS in Clinical Psychology and am currently working on my Masters in Business Administration, which have both given me a much greater appreciation and understanding of the importance of organization, promptness, and communication as each pertains to being a successful student. As a graduate from one of the top Liberal Arts schools in New England, I helped tutor college students in English Composition for one semester. Before I changed my major, I was Secondary English Education, which translates into training to be a high school English teacher.
