I have a total of 7 years of teaching experience. From 2010-2013, I worked as an enrichment counselor for the Pomona Unified School District. This job required me to create lesson plans and manage a class of 20 students for 3 hours a week, 5 days a week. From 2013-2015, I worked for the Chino Unified School District's AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program. In this job, I offered life readiness and college readiness skills and tutored various common core subjects to groups of 5 Jr. high and high school students. My teaching style is not entirely concrete, for I feel that it depends on the maturity of the student and willingness to learn the subject at hand. I am very patient when I need to be, and my main goal is to simply make sure each student walks away knowing what they needed to learn.
I am a 19 year old college student who is living in Murrieta for the next few summer months, and attends Cal State Fullerton. I have taken piano lessons for over 11 years now, and have a few years experience in teaching/tutoring in piano. My major concentration in college is Studio Art, and have also had experience in teaching art classes through M.A.D. Studio. Through experience in college and high school, I am also very familiar with Microsoft Office programs, and have helped those who are struggling in the newer editions of these MS programs.
