Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. My duties included assisted the teacher and helping the students in a manner to help them learn at their pace. And I also have an 8 year old son who attends River Dell Elementary. I help him on a daily basis with his homework, which includes math, reading and writing. I love kids and it brings great joy to my life to see the smile on their faces when they learn something new, or figure out the answer to a problem they are working on.

For over four years, I have been involved in private tutoring as well as teaching classes available to the public. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy helping others succeed. While completing my Bachelors in Business Administration, I developed a firm understanding and passion for economics, finance, and accounting. I feel that many teachers today do not use the resources available today effectively, and this is something I strive to change in teaching. I use all forms of multimedia, like audio, video and books to get my students as broad a learning spectrum as possible. On top of my own lesson plans, I like to also use online lessons within my lesson. I also like asking my students what their interests are in music, and what goals they would like to achieve, so I can help them reach their full potential, and of course, enjoy the lesson content, rather than being forced under a strict schedule.
