My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : I have to say I know the basic learning skills. I learned them when I was in elementary school and I still know them because I am more advance now since I am in college.

I don't really got a teaching style it changes depending on the person that needs help.
I have experience with young kids and young adults to help them be successful in the near future. I homeschooled a gifted third grader, including administering standardized end-of-grade test, for 1 year. I have four children of my own and home schooled each one through elementary school and some middle school. They returned to public school for middle school where I then provided tutoring for other classmates. I know sometimes math as well and other subjects come harder for one than the other so I realize the tutoring session needs to be geared toward that particular child.
I love to teach by using the hands on technique. I will do whatever I can to see that the student grasp what is being taught. Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. My duties included assisted the teacher and helping the students in a manner to help them learn at their pace. And I also have an 8 year old son who attends River Dell Elementary. I help him on a daily basis with his homework, which includes math, reading and writing. I love kids and it brings great joy to my life to see the smile on their faces when they learn something new, or figure out the answer to a problem they are working on.
