In 2005, I earned a Master of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida. I have done a lot of research and am proficient in many areas of biology. Conducting research has taught me critical thinking, how to be attentive and organized, and how to develop the grammatical skills to get ideas across to my audience. I have always had an inclination to teach. To me, there is something very exciting about conveying understanding of a concept to another person. I think I have a particular ability for identifying precisely what aspect of a problem a student does not understand and then elucidating that point. I think much instructional time is spent inefficiently in explaining what a student already understands and not explaining what he or she does not understand.
