I have throughout my entire grade school career been both a tutor and a mentor. As young as in nine years old in fourth grade I was selected to tutor kindergarten children in mathematics. As I grew older, I continually tutored my peers in a multitude of subjects, math being the prominent and my best subject. I have been teaching math since 8/2000. I first began teaching in a large urban district and then switched to teaching in a private school. I have taught math at both the high school and middle school levels. The subjects I have taught include algebra I and II, geometry, AP Calculus AB,and middle school math. I have tutored math every year that I taught, and also tutored GED math for 1 year.
I think that I am very clear and concise in my explanations of concepts. I am also very good at explaining concepts in multiple ways. So if a student doesn't get how to do a problem using one method, I can go over another approach. I'm a good listener.

While obtaining my chemistry degree at Butler, I also completed all requirements for a secondary education license with the exception of student teaching and worked as a math and science tutor with a private tutoring service in Indianapolis. I also was a "Mad Science" instructor, teaching after school programs to grades k-12 in science. Upon graduation, I worked as a medicinal chemist for 5 year and attended law school at night.
